Cookie
A cookie is a tiny text file stored on your computer that contains some sort of identifying information about you. Cookie files are saved on your computer by the websites that you visit. Most people have dozens or even hundreds of cookies on their computers. Cookies sometimes contain a username or user ID from a perfectly safe website like Amazon. Unfortuntaley, some companies use cookies to track your surfing habits for marketing purposes. It is possible to block cookies ao that they can not be written on your computer's hard disk. Blocking coopikes will often limit your surfing experience. The best practice for dealing with malicious cookies is to install an anti-spyware program and periodically clean-up or remove cookies.
